Luke 16:10-15
"He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much. If therefore you have not been faithful in the use of unrighteous mammon (money), who will entrust the true riches to you?
"And if you have not been faithful in the use of that which is another's, who will give you that which is your own?
"No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and love the other, or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, were listening to all these things, and they were scoffing at Him. And He said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God." Luke 16:10-15 (NAS)
Questions:
Has God entrusted time, money, possessions and/or health to you?
Have you been a faithful steward of these things that God has given you?
Do you help others with what God has given you?
Suggested Bible Reading for Month:
April 1-7: New Testament -- Luke 5:17 through Luke 8:39. Old Testament -- Deuteronomy chapter 32 through Joshua chapter 14.
April 8-14: New Testament -- Luke 8:40 through Luke 11:28. Old Testament -- Joshua chapter 15 through Judges chapter 4.
April 15-21: New Testament -- Luke 11:29 through Luke 14:14. Old Testament -- Judges chapter 5 through Judges chapter 21.
April 22-30: New Testament -- Luke 14:15 through Luke 19:48. Old Testament -- Ruth chapter 1 through 1 Samuel chapter 17.
Easy-to-Read Version:
"If a person can be trusted with small things, then he can also be trusted with big things. If a person is dishonest in little things, then he will be dishonest in big things too.
"If you cannot be trusted with worldly riches, then you will not be trusted with the true (heavenly) riches. And if you cannot be trusted with the things that belong to someone else, then you will not be given things of your own.
"No servant can serve two masters at the same time. The servant will hate one master and love the other. Or he will be loyal to one and not care about the other. You cannot serve God and Money at the same time."
The Pharisees were listening to all these things. The Pharisees criticized Jesus because they all loved money. Jesus said to the Pharisees, "You make yourselves look good in front of people. But God knows what is really in your hearts. The things that people think are important are worth nothing to God." Luke 16:10-15 (ERV)

Pastor Greg's devotions
The Bottom Line
And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
— 1 Corinthians 2:1–2
C. H. Spurgeon defined the gospel this way: Jesus died for me. That is our essential message. It is Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
I think we overcomplicate this thing we call evangelism way too much. I am not suggesting that we go out and start telling others about Christ without any understanding of what the Bible teaches. There is a place for apologetics, the defense of the faith. There is a place for building a bridge with those we are speaking to, and there is a place for other evangelism techniques that we might employ. But the bottom line we are to reach, the primary message we are to proclaim, is the message of Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
And it is my belief that as you proclaim this message, God can use you to win others to Christ. The apostle Paul wrote, "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God" (1 Corinthians 1:18), and "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek" (Romans 1:16).
I have been proclaiming the gospel message for 35 years now, and I am still amazed at its power. I have heard the stories of people whom you would never expect to believe in Jesus. I have been astonished at the way God reached them and transformed them. It is the power of the gospel.
There is power in the simple story of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Don't complicate it. Don't add to it. Don't take away from it. Don't apologize for it. Just proclaim it, and watch what God will do.

Mind that is set on flesh~
For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
Romans 8: 7-8
“The mind being set on the flesh” is a mind of an unbeliever. If one does not believe in the things of God, he is hostile or rejects the things of God and God’s laws.
Since Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden, there has been sin and strife in the world. God created a perfect world for Adam and Eve. If they had obeyed Him and controlled their sinful lusts, the world would be a perfect place. But they listened to Satan and became as we are because they ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; and we became subject to sin and death.
But God, since He loved us so much provided a way for us to become perfect; thus Jesus became our sacrifice; our way of avoiding hell. God the Father, laid all the sins of the world on the strong, able shoulders of our Lord. Psalms 53:5 He took our sins upon Himself and bore our iniquities; He suffered on a cruel cross; suffered as no man has ever suffered and then He died to save our souls from an eternity in hell.
Thank you Lord God for providing a way of escape for us and giving us a living sacrifice, Jesus Your only Son to die for us as our propitiation. Thank You for saving us from an eternity of the fire that burns forever and ever.

Audience Of One ~ lyrics
AUDIENCE OF ONE
by: Big Daddy Weave
I come on my knees
To lay down before you
Bringing all that I am
Longing only to know you
Seeking your face
And not only your hand
I find you embracing me
Just as I am
And I lift these songs
To you and you alone
As I sing to you
In my praises make your home
Chorus:
To my audience of one
You are Father, and you are Son
As your spirit flows free,
Let it find within me
A heart that beats to praise you.
And now just to know you more
Has become my great reward
To see your kingdom come
And your will be done
I only desire to be yours,
Lord
So what could I bring
To honor your majesty
What song could I sing
That would move the heart of royalty
And all that I have
Is the life that you’ve given me
So Lord let me live for you
My song with humility
And Lord as the love song
Of my life is played
I have one desire
To bring glory to your name
CHORUS
And we lift these songs
To you and you alone
As we sing to you
In our praises make your home
CHORUS

Mark 16
Mark 16
Mary and Mary Magdalene discover that Jesus has risen from the dead.
INSIGHT
It is a momentous morning as Mary and Mary Magdalene walk to the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea, intent on anointing the body of Jesus but not knowing how they will get into the tomb. They say to one another, "Who will roll away the stone for us?" Miracle number one: The stone has been rolled away. Miracle number two: An angel is sitting in the tomb to explain to them what has happened. Miracle number three: Jesus is gone; He has risen. They have two responses. They were amazed! And they report to the disciples all that they have seen. They expect to deal with death. But they find themselves in the middle of more life than they can imagine. Such paradox is God's way. He brings life from death.
PRAYER
Give your praise to the Lord for offering you the gift of eternal life:
He is the Rock, His work is perfect;
For all His ways are justice,
A God of truth and without injustice;
Righteous and upright is He(Deuteronomy 32:4).
Pray this confession to the Lord as you seek to keep your life free from sin:
So Samuel said: "Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,
As in obeying the voice of the Lord?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
And to heed than the fat of rams (1 Samuel 15:22).
Confess any sins that the Holy Spirit brings to your mind.
Now pause to pray this affirmation to the Lord:
He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8).
As you make your requests known to the Lord, pray for:
greater faithfulness with your time,
the president, national leaders, andnnational affairs,
your activities for the day,
whatever else is on your heart.
Finally, offer this closing prayer to the Lord:
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever (Psalm 23:6).

Praise Through Service
Praise Through Service
Read Psalm 100:2
Joyful noise leads to joyful service. If we are to serve the Lord
joyfully, our words must become deeds. Jesus warns against hypocritical
worship (Matt. 15:8). How are we to serve the Lord genuinely?
First, we serve willingly. We are redeemed to do what God wants us to do.
This verse was meaningful to Old Testament Jews, because they knew about
servitude. God delivered them from slavery in Egypt so they might serve
Him.
Second, we serve exclusively. We cannot serve the Lord and someone else at
the same time (Matt. 6:24; Ex. 20:2,3). But we can serve others for Jesus'
sake. Our goal is to please Him alone. Our power, wisdom and the plans for
our lives come from Him alone.
Third, we serve joyfully. Sometimes we are like the elder brother in the
parable of the Prodigal Son; we may do the Father's will and work, but we
are far from His heart. God doesn't want our service to be drudgery or to
be done grudgingly. That tears us down. When we serve Him joyfully, we
enjoy growth, development and excitement. Are you happy serving the Lord?
* * *
We praise God most effectively through our service to Him. Are you engaged
in service to the Lord in your church or community? When you offer your
service to the Lord willingly and joyfully, you glorify His name. Let your
words of praise lead to acts of praise!

Matthew 6:19-21
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth,
where moth and rust destroy,
and where thieves break in and steal.
But store up for yourselves treasures
in heaven, where moth and rust do not
destroy, and where thieves do not break
in and steal. For where your treasure is,
there your heart will be also.

Forgiveness
When we allow a bitter spirit to lodge in our souls,
it becomes both painful and destructive.
An unforgiving heart lies at the root of many
physical, emotional, pshychological, and
spiritual problems.
Through Jesus Christ we are forgiven and,
therefore, we are directed to forgive those
who offend us.
Hurt in life is unavoidable , but no pain
is too deep or too widespread to lie
beyond the power of God's forgiveness.
Rely on God's power when dealing with
forgiveness. When you do, it will
bring freedom to your life.

THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor,
and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Praise You In This Storm lyrics and song by Casting Crowns
Praise You in This Storm
words by Mark Hall/music by Mark Hall and Bernie Herms
I was sure by now,God, that You would have reached down
and wiped our tears away,
stepped in and saved the day.
But once again, I say amen
and it's still raining
as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain,
"I'm with you"
and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away.
Chorus:
And I'll praise you in this storm
and I will lift my hands
for You are who You are
no matter where I am
and every tear I've cried
You hold in your hand
You never left my side
and though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm
I remember when I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry to You
and raised me up again
my strength is almost gone how can I carry on
if I can't find You
and as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away
Chorus
I lift my eyes onto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth
I lift my eyes onto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth
Chorus
words by Mark Hall/music by Mark Hall and Bernie Herms
I was sure by now,God, that You would have reached down
and wiped our tears away,
stepped in and saved the day.
But once again, I say amen
and it's still raining
as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain,
"I'm with you"
and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away.
Chorus:
And I'll praise you in this storm
and I will lift my hands
for You are who You are
no matter where I am
and every tear I've cried
You hold in your hand
You never left my side
and though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm
I remember when I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry to You
and raised me up again
my strength is almost gone how can I carry on
if I can't find You
and as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away
Chorus
I lift my eyes onto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth
I lift my eyes onto the hills
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth
Chorus

Today's Bible Reading ~ John 7:38
No matter how long we struggle. God is not
giving up on us. Even if
we have drained all the
human resources around us
dry. He is our inexhaustible well of living water.
